Once I got this snare, I realized how much better piccolo snares are in comparison to standard sized snares. The sound is much brighter, and cuts through. This snare rules. The heads on it were decent, and you hardly need to muffle it at all. A normal snare often has an annoying ring, especially on recordings. On piccolo snares the ring sounds cool.

Hey fellow musicians! I must say this snare is simply the best snare for its price. I got it the other day and my goodness is it amazing. It carries a nice bright sound that cuts thru the rest of your set, no need to muffle in any way, excellent sound, cheap, durable, and it's plain beautiful!

This snare rules. Sounds great live and even better when recorded. Really does sound similar to OCDP vented snares and works well with punk and rock music. Tune it really tight, you can hear every ghost note and it has an amazing attack with hardly any ring.

"One Tight Little Snare" by Devaun

Pearl snares are always good sounding because they're very heavy and thick. Their pics always sound good. Sometimes, you may have to buy new heads, but at a price like that, that's just something you'll have to deal with. This is also a good way for beginners to sound better. Keep rockin' homies,
The Carolina Drummer

I've been using an earlier version of this snare for 14 years as my primary snare and it still has a powerful cutting sound. Fabulous snare drum in any playing condition, reliable and very solid.
