This is the ultimate bass drum pedal for all styles. It is the most versatile pedal on the market. With interchangeable cams,the Power Shifter function, belt or chain, footboard grips you can change, Quad Beaters, and an infinitely unjustable footboard height, its the best you'll ever find. Hard rockers to quiet jazz players will love this pedal. It's silky smooth, with hard acceleration for Metallica and subtle softness for Miles Davis. Albeit a bit pricey, it compares with other models in its class. It's simply the best of them all.

The eliminator is underestimated by most people, mainly Iron Cobra players. Because of this negative criticism from those players, many people got the IC instead because its supposedly smoother, but with the two pedals, IC rolling, next to each other, I couldn't feel a difference with the black cam. and with the white cam its even smoother. To match the IC power you only have to change the cam to red, which takes five minutes max and requires no tools, and you get an equal, more powerful pedal. Before I bought this, I wanted an Ic power because I thought it accelerated a lot, but wen I tried the eliminator, I found the red cam is so offset and has so much acceleration that when I played faster parts my notes slurred, but I lost finer control. You can fix that in 5 minutes by changing the cam to blue, which gives a medium between the black and red so it feels like an IC power. If you want more control and smoothness than speed, than the white cam, which I use, is good. It's an oversized version of a black cam which offers the smoothness of a belt drive, which this pedal can be converted to if you buy an optional belt. The only flaw with this pedal is that the adjustable footboard has 3 settings instead of being fully adjustable like the IC. But the settings that it has are fine because they still allow you to change the feel. That and the beater are the only things that are worse than the IC. ICs aren't adjustable to meet all my needs and expectations. But then IC players brag but the IC comes with a hard plastic case, but the eliminator has a NICE case that most sites don't mention. The case is like a duffel style hard case. It also includes a nifty strap and pearl stitched into it. The case also has a bunch of zipper compartments to store extra accessories. The pedal also includes two drum keys and two sets of allen wrenches. bottom line is, if you want a pedal to feel custom made to your needs, then eliminator is the pedal for you.

If you're looking for a double pedal, this is the best u can find! Pearl has made yet another incredible product and has crushed the competition. The cams let ANY player use this pedal to their full potential, but personalizes for each drummer. You can adjust it to heavy and tough for hard rock, to soft and sensitive for jazz. It also has the extreme durability Pearl products are known for having. I commend you if you can break it in anyway. Not even DW's or Tama's compare!! Catch ya later, and happy drumming!

This pedal has improved my playing by miles. When I started playing double pedal I was borrowing one of my friends pedals. These were cheap pedals made by Stagg and they were horrible! Pieces kept falling off and the left pedal seized up during one the faster bass patterns I played during a gig. It was at this point I decided that I wanted to continue playing double pedal but needed something good! I went to my local drum shop and tried both the Eliminator and the Iron Cobra from Tama. Both pedals were great but I found that the Pearl pedals were much more customizable. You can change EVERYTHING!!! Footboard height, Powershifter, 4 different cams, beater angle and so much more. After playing around it feels like a custom pedal. I am now using the oversized linear cams (white) and it plays so smooth and fluid. Buy one now! SUPERB!

I just recently purchased a Pearl Powershifter Eliminator Chain Drive double pedal. It was money well spent. Both pedals glide very smoothly, and the 4 cams are a big bonus. My favorite is the white cam because it's an offset circle, and has a unique feel to it. I will never buy anything but Pearl. They are the best in the drumming world!
