I have this excellent crash. I USUALLY stray away from lower price cymbals, but this is a PAISTE! Great price! Pro line looks. Loud projection, cuts through all and IS heard! Beautiful sound! Sounds like the top dollar lines Paiste has! Long sustain. Will buy more from the pst 5 line. Amazing quality to price ratio!!! Pro and entry level musicians will love this line. I do, Signature series and 2002 is what I am used to. Pst 5 blends in with those sounds and dose not stand out, as far as being able to tell which sound costs less! PAISTE is the best cymbal around, and now they dominate the "entry" level lines too! Excellent for rock to Death Metal, and all loud amplified music.
I purchased these cymbals for my fifteen year old son who cracked several of my prize cymbals. He plays very hard and I needed a cymbal of good cost but could still preform well. The Paiste PST Rock crash is it. He has played them for over six months with no problems because of their heavy weight. They cut through and are crisp and clean. I even took them on one of my gigs and I love the sound. They sounded good along with my 2002 and I would even purchase these for myself.Any parents who have a problem having to replace cymbals for their rock hungry children ,the PST 5 rock crash are a great value without compromising sound quality !
