A very classy sounding cymbal. No matter what brand you use give the 2002's a listen. A bit expensive , but a great sound!

I have Paiste 2002 all the way round the kit and the crashes are excellent bright and warm at the same time depending on how they are hit. I use the mediums and they are still very versatile and much tougher than Zildjian because of less tin in the metal mix. I broke even the heavy Zildjians for years until switching and have yet to break a 2002 in 5 years.

I just bought the Paiste 2002 17" crash and I am very impressed. It has a bright tone and a very quick response. I would definitely recommend it for an intermediate or advanced drummer.

I bought a 19" classic crash second hand about 4 years ago, it's got the black labels on it so it must've been some 20 years old at the time, unless it's a special order but for it's good condition it still looked a bit aged. It seems a little thin looking at it lately but I play loud, very loud, Bonham loud even, and it still hasn't broken, and it sounds fabulous. It can be overplayed though which may be why it hasn't broken, you've got be glancing it, make it shimmer, as you should for every cymbal really. I'm not sure how it compares to the medium crash but I'm getting one of those right now so check that review list shortly if you care for it. But as of now, you can't go wrong with any of these crashes I'm sure, in sound or durability.

I've tried Signatures, Dimensions, and even other brands, but nothing quite sounds like 2002 crashes. The best rock cymbals ever. They're brighter and higher-pitched than most other cymbals.
