This is a great purchase. (for the money)I'm a pro player of 25+ years, and have played many stands out there. First thing I noticed was how light this thing is, I asked the salesperson if there was another box, because this one felt too light to have the whole stand in it. I didn't run into the thread problem as some mentioned above, and I personally think the wobbling one reviewer mentioned, was because the legs weren't opened far enough. That is my only qualm with this stand-the legs do get sort of difficult to open after you reach a certain point.(a little Vaseline might help)I thought it wobbled at first also, and adjusted the legs to open farther, and it was fine. All in all, a great stand for what I paid.

Very well built and feels great. Ideal for double pedal players or double bass players. Exceptional value for such a solid HH stand.

Ordered this part after being away from the music scene for 5 years to complete a new kit I was putting together. It amazes me how much drum hardware technology has changed and how affordable it has become. As a relatively heavy and fast player I appreciate the double braced legs and the internal compression springs that provide quick and reliable action. The rotating leg assembly also means more set up flexibility (and this is from a "student line" of equipment!!). All in all an excellent buy for the price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!

I got this stand for Christmas, and right out of the box I noticed a few problems. The threading in the piece that accepts the rod for the clutch wasn't threaded properly to fit the rod it came with. I had a different one, off an old pearl stand. The legs don't move up and down well, either. It's really tricky. Finally, it wobbles. Just a little but, but enough to make me nervous. Besides all that, its great. It matches my double bass pedals. This stand is smooth. Despite the wobble, it's built sturdy and its not going to fall over. Besides, it only wabbles a little bit. I recommend it to anyone that needs room for their double bass pedals.
