This model is actually a concert ukulele, which has a larger body than a soprano ukulele; the larger body gives it a deeper, louder tone. The longer, wider neck is more comfortable to hold and the string action is excellent. You'll like how this instrument sounds.

This is an excellent uke. My two college students went nuts over this one and the two less expensive models when the order arrived two weeks into summer break. Time for some summertime music making. This one has a superior sound and handles nicely. I recommend it to all.

I am very impressed with this low cost Uke. This is an excellent full volume sounding Uke. The size is very nice and easy to use for smaller hands. Very warm tones. Simply excellent, I highly recommend this as a first Uke. I'm very pleased.

Nice sounding well made instrument for the money. The geared tuners work well so the instrument stays in tune. The neck binding is a nice touch. This Ukulele is well worth the money for an above entry level instrument.

I got hooked on the uke from watching the Concert For George where Macca opens "Something" with it and then Joe Brown does an awesome rendition of "I'll see you in my dreams", made me realize that it isn't just a "tiny Tim/Hawaiian" thing. It's a lovely sweet instrument and this Oscar Schmidt model looks and sounds like it cost MUCH more. The soft travel bag was also a great buy.
