I would call this stand more medium duty than heavy duty. My other complaint is that the music shelf is small compared with something like a Manhasset stand - but the plus side of that is that it is therefore more portable. For the price it is a very good value.

Our community band carries a box of folding wire stands that just can't do the job for our books--they music is always hitting the ground at just the wrong time. For about the same price, these stands are a tremendous improvement for our use.

This stand is just what the doctor ordered. My husband is a beginning guitar student and wanted a music stand. This stand is several times more sturdy than those I used eons ago in the high school band. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Very nice. Platform bends to an angle and can be at a 90 degree angle which keeps it out of the way.
