Got mine in December 2007. I have been playing for over 2o years and this guitar is 100% worth the investment! I find it to have excellent tone and it STAYS in tune for a long time. You do have good variation in sound with the tapped pick ups. I thought the idea of pulling up those knobs was a problem before I bought it....you get used to it really quick and find those pick ups sound clean ...having used it on a Fender amp. Quality wise...not a mark on it when I ordered on line. Guitar finish was excellent. Neck is quick, no buzzing, and the instrument weight is light. This is my second guitar made by the Koreans...they are making guitars like we do in the USA...must be our training! I can not understand why anyone would pay more for a different guitar. I am told a lot of GIbson owners prefer to use these in studios instead of taking their expensive Gibsons on the road. You can buy two of these for the price of one Gibson and still have a tremendous sound. One recommendation, try to find the Michael Kelly case for it..it holds it snug and is not as sloppy as other cases I tried at first. Final word: No Hype - Just try it - you'll like it.
i buy around 6 guitars a year,looking for the best for the money. this guitar blows my mind ! i just had to find out if this guitar was as good as all i have read about it. NEVER read nothing bad about it. so i had to find out, and they were right. BEST GUITAR for the money. you will not be sorry you bought it.
Quality construction and quality hardware + affordable price makes for great value. One of the best import guitars around , in fact just one of the nicest period. Setup was great , attention to detail was great , no complaints. I myself would like to see all guitar makers offer more fret size and material options. The option to order a guitar w/ jumbo or vintage frets , nickle or stainless etc. That would surely be nice . Also more fretboard radius options. You really cant go wrong though w/ these MK guitars.
