This Cajon is the perfect addition to any drummer's arsenal. I bought one last year to start playing some acoustic shows along with my bongo's but quickly realized that I could use it in non-acoustic gigs also. One mic and this sounds like a full set. I take this everywhere with me. And the best part, I don't even have to take my bongo's if I don't want because the seat area doubles as an almost exact bongo sound. I would recommend this to anyone. The Makah-Burl frontplate has such a crisp snare sound coupled with a perfectly deep bass tone that you would never know the difference between it and a full set. The genre possibilities with the Meinl Siam Oak String Cajon are endless. I've used this for rock, country, African, Brazilian (Sepultura) worship, and even a couple Tool songs. One word sums this drum up: AMAZING!!!
