Differing only in its body size from the DC-28E, the OMC-28E also offers a cutaway and new factory installed Ellipse Aura electronics. Four model specific sound images may be blended with the Martin Gold Plus under-the-saddle transducer to achieve optimum acoustic sound reproduction

I got this guitar on Christmas Eve and haven't put it down since. The sound is so balanced, it's out of this world. It's not as loud as a dreadnaught but being as balanced as it is the bass strings aren't boomy and don't overpower a chord like they can on a dread. The neck is thin and fast and the 1 3/4" wide nut and wider string spacing make it a breeze to play fingerstyle. The Fishman Ellipse Aura electronics sound awesum and so natural. I play a lot at a local coffee house open-mic and I can't tell you how many times people stop me and remark how great my guitar sounds. My friends tell me to get rid of all my other guitars because this one puts them to shame (they're top name acoustics). The only thing I don't like are the tuners. They work very smooth, stay in tune and are high quality, but the gear ratio is way too coarse for my liking. They're a little difficult to precisely tune. You move them a little and the string pitch changes a lot. I wanted a guitar that sounded great acoustically, plugged in, and was easy to play. The Martin OMC-28E certainly fits that bill. You might have a slight diadvantage volume wise if you're playing acoustically with other instruments, but plug it in and others will definitely take notice. I think this is the last guitar I'll ever have to buy
