"These strings kick butt for fingerstyle." by New favorite strings

Musical Experience: SemiPro
Style of Music: I couldn't begin to catergorize myself.
Hometown: Jacksonville, FL

I use them on my Ovangkol Taylor, and they are a much better string than those coated strings that came on the guitar. Coated strings may last longer, butt they are way too tinny sounding. These Martin's are smooth.

My 9 year old daughter has been taking guitar lessons for about 4 months. She was having trouble playing chords, to the point where she was losing interest. Her instructor recommended the Silk and Steel strings, and she now plays like a different person.

Musical Experience: Um... where do I start
Style of Music: Music from the heart

I love the silk and steel. They make even cheap guitars sound wonderful. The sound is perfect and not quite as hard on the fingers as some steel strings do. Easy to play and sound EXCELLENT!!!

These strings are great. They have a wonderful tone that plays well on both wood and composite body guitars. They are easy on the fingers too!
