Martin DX1 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar
The Martin DX-1

Martin sets the standard for acoustic guitars, and since 1833 has been a leader in guitar innovation and craftsmanship

Everyone from Eric Clapton to Sting to Johnny Lang has played a Martin guitar, and professionals and amateurs alike know the bright sparkle and deep, resonant tone that Martin guitars have become famous for, from the most high end acoustics to the Backpacker.

Carefully hand-selected tonewoods, master craftsmanship and beautiful finishes and styles make Martin acoustics a class all their own, and must be played to be believed.

The neck on all X-series is made from resin-impregnated wood veneers pre-stained for color called Stratabond. Pound for pound, compared to solid wood, Stratabond has greater durability, and the luthiers at Martin realized it would make for a more durable instrument capable of taking punishment and still performing.

X Series These guitars feature a wood fiber composite laminate body construction, a patented neck mortise, and unique DX-bracing on models with HPL tops.

This is an outstanding buy on a real Martin with solid top. Order today!

The Martin DX1 is a WONDERFUL guitar. The first thing for me is the tone, and this guitar is all tone. I don't know how they do it so cheaply, but it sounds like it cost 3X what I paid for it. I spent a weekend and played every brand and price range in a 20 mile radius, and this little Martin out classed a lot of very expensive guitars. The sound is round and woody, but does not lack in high end. The bass is like a truck driving by on a small street! The only thing this guitar is lacking is volume, but that's not so bad, I don't really need to play that loud anyway. Its very basic, no binding anywhere, no inlays, hardly any finish! But the look is nice and spartan anyway. Its a Martin! American made, HIGH quality. The setup and action are a dream! For the money, you can NOT get a better sounding guitar. It plays like a dream and sounds like a dream.

This is my second guitar. One bad thing I don't like at all about the DX1 is the finish. It's easy to nick and dent it. You can't wipe off any dirt without making it worse. Fragile as a flower. But the sound is awesome. Worth every penny.

I've had this guitar for almost two years, and I still haven't changed the strings and it sounds amazing. I love this guitar, its my baby. I recommend it to anyone who needs a good acoustic guitar. At first I wanted to get a cheaper guitar because I only started to learn how to play, but now I know that I couldn't have been more wrong. This guitar is perfect.
