i love this cab. i have absolutely no complaints, except that there are no casters. the sound is just that marshall sound, even at low volume. i've had it for about a month, and even still i will not turn all the way up in fear of killing myself and my bandmembers from fatal head-explosions. if you have ever been told to be quiet, to turn down, or have ever been overpowered, this is the cab for you.
I hooked mine up to an old 40 watt Crate and I couldn't believe it. It sounds fantastic! Those 12" Celestions are so sweet. I get the most beautiful controlled feedback. The perfect balance of deep punch and punchy mids with great highs. But now I've GOT to get the head to go with it! Mine's a scratch and dent model and no-one can even tell where the blem is. I found it by laying it down on the floor and getting the light just right. The grill cloth had a slight impression where it had somehow gotten creased. Nobody sees it. I even told my 15 yr old son what to look for and he still hasn't found it. You can't go wrong with this for the sound or the price!
I had the mg250dfx combo and I got tired of being able to turn the volume all the way up and stand comfortably in front of it, so this was the most logical addition and solved my problem of aural comfort.
This cabinet rocks, the standard celestion speakers are awesome. Since I have always used Marshall amps I definitely recommend (if you have the cash) to but one of the AVT or DSL cabs instead. But the one problem I have with this cabinet is when you turn the volume up. The other dudes were right and it does lose clarity with the increase of volume but another way to solve that is buy hooking up another MG412 cabinet or hooking up two weaker smaller speakers. But if you find another way to keep your clarity please let me know. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK MARSHALL!!!
This Is A Really Good Cab For The Price. It Really Cranks Out The Tone. I Like The MG Head. It Is The Perfect Match For This Cab. Together They Create A Killer Half Stack. They Have Really Good Lows And Really Good Highs. It's Really Loud And Gig Capable. If You Turn It Loud Enough, Your Entire House Will Shake.
