I was skeptical about buying a solid state amplifier, for practice or otherwise, but Jim Marshall's R&D have done it again. Most of my practice time has been spent in the studio or large warehouse venues, but as of late with my music becoming more mature and technical, I have opted to spend more time at home on this task. This little guy really delivers. This afternoon I set up in the dining room and played. The clock popped off the wall and all my pictures had to be straightened! This guy is loud for only 15 watts, and I was able to get just about everything I wanted in the way of sound. The distortion and reverb were just superb, and a few licks of the Beatles Revolution just popped out of the little guy like magic. You have a little too much growl at very high gain settings, but this is a practice amp. For the money, this is probably the single most wise investment in sound I have ever made,9.5 out of 10, I highly recommend this amp to all musicians, professional or beginner. You will love it.
