The Bluesbreaker II—warm, valve-like overdrive in a tank-like effect pedal. Not only does it give you a ripping blues distortion, it also delivers a very transparent boost to push your guitar signal out front when you need it.

Marshall BB2

The Marshall Bluesbreaker II is just like two pedals in one. A hot boost to give your solos that extra lift, or a truly valve-like overdrive, so rich in 2nd order harmonics that it'll make you weep and wail. Having a completely passive bypass means that you don't lose a single drop of your real guitar tone too!

"Bluesbreaker comes through"

I play in a blues band at Messiah College and in Baltimore, Maryland. The BB2 is ideal for smooth, raw blues tone. I don't use the boost setting at all, because the blues tones are too good to pass up. Tonal integrity is not lost when you play multiple notes/chords, and the drive knob allows you to go from subtle overdrive to screaming solo distortion.

I love Marshall amps! I own two right now, one for practice and one for stage. Recently I needed a foot pedal to enhance my solo chops. I bought Marshall's "Edward, the Compressor" and I love it. However, the frosting on the cake was when I bought this pedal. True the "Blues" setting is great, but I found the the boost setting along with my Marshall Compressor pedal is just what my ears were 'looking' for.
