I bought Behringer B215A speakers because they sounded great in the store. After lugging them around for a year,I thought I'd see if something smaller could give me good sound without being so dependent on room acoustics,as they were boomy in any room with a low ceiling. I tried the B212A,and was very disappointed-it's just too small, and response is weak near the crossover points. This new model by Mackie is the smoothest speaker, with widest dispersion, and best projection of any professional small sound reinforcement unit I've ever heard, and it has no problems at all in any room I've used it in. Great job by Mackie!

These speakers sound as good or better than most of the professional gear I use. If they weren't plastic with a blue light on the front I could use them on any stage I work on. I normally use gear costing 4-5 times this to achieve the same results. I have directly compared them to a V-dosc 115FM ($3300.00 MSRP non powered) and they totally held their own. If you are considering buying this type of plastic powered box nothing else compares with these. They could easily double the price and I would still call them a great value. Who knows they might sell more of them since some people equate best sounding with most expensive. Seriously the other boxes of this type (Jbl Eon vrx etc...) are horrible sounding comparatively.
