As you would expect from Mackie, these speakers are absolutely fantastic. Very durable build and the sound is absolutely amazing! The low end doesn't bump like you expect a sub to, but then again it's not supposed to. I guess that's why Mackie makes the 1501 and the 1801. Highly recommend if you can afford them. Definitely some of the best powered speakers on the market.

We bought these speakers for tailgating at football games, and since I was only able to listen to them indoors at a music store in town, I was a little concerned about how they would sound outside. Suffice it to say, my fears were unfounded. These speakers sound great! Fat bass, even without the subs, crisp highs and power to spare. They are also small enough that they don't take up a lot of room when hauling. Best speaker in its class for the money, and while they are not cheap, they are worth every cent.

I bought these to replace my EV SX500's.Combined with my SRS 1500 SUBS these speakers kick. The sound is crisp and they have a great mid range. When Combined with the subs, you get an overall great sound. Another great feature is they're half the size of the EV's and weigh less..WOW!!!!!

I bought an SRM450 to use as a keyboard amp cause I wanted HI-FI sound and wasn't getting what I wanted from my Roland KC-150. The Mackie costs a lot more, but it was worth it to me. 450 watts is overkill for my needs, but it is a small compact package so it doesn't matter. I wish it had an on-board mixer, but can live without it. I like the case flexibility. I can use it as a wedge monitor or a stand-up floor monitor. The wide sound dispersion helps greatly in the small rooms I usually play in. The large side handles are also convenient. But best of all I like the sound itself. I gig with a Roland Juno-D, a Yamaha S-90, and my SRM450. I like to tweak my patches to match the amp I am using and having a flat frequency response HI-FI speaker really makes it easier to get the sound I want.
