MXR M169 Carbon Copy Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal
The MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay Pedal features a completely analog audio path for the ultimate in rich, warm delay-made possible only by old-school bucket brigade technology. This design boasts an amazing 600ms of delay time with optional modulation via a top-mounted switch and a simple, three-knob layout that controls Delay time, Mix (dry/wet blend), and Regen (delay repeats)-all in a pedal no bigger than a Phase 90. In addition, the M169 pedal has two internal trim pots that offer user-adjustable width and rate control of the modulation for even more tonal options. The Carbon Copy effect pedal will take you from crisp "bathroom" slap echoes to epic, Gilmour-esque delays with a twist of a knob. True hardwire bypass, single 9-volt operation, and stage-ready blue LEDs round out the package.

I have had other delays in the past, this is the first one I use. Could not ask for more from a pedal. MXR got it right!

Simple to use and is very transparent. It does not kill your tone when off and is a nice analog sounding delay. Exactly what I was looking for.

I checked out several digital delays before I tried this item and this unit sounds great for it's class and price range. There's no harshness but a sparkle, it really does capture that analog sound reminiscent of the Echoplex. Another important criteria; it's very quiet with a true bypass. The Carbon Copy is simple to use, I had my tone dialed in within minutes. It sounds best when used through a Marshall effects loop and works great with no tone loss when chained through a Fender Twin Reverb. This unit is a must have for your pedal board.

This is a great little analog delay. It does everything I need it to do... nice tight slapbacks and smooth echos. Unlike my digital delay, when activated my tone actually fattens up. You can't beat the Carbon Copy for the price ... very highly recommended.

I don't currently own this pedal, but I HAVE had the pleasure of playing through one at a jam night. I really love the sound of this pedal, and was amazed by the beauty of the sound coming out. I play an Epiphone Les Paul Special II lefty, and it just blew me away. You would be missing out not to buy this baby.

"MXR Analog Delay"

I can't say enough about this pedal! I used to have one of the original Analog delays and I about cried when it went south on me after years of playing. I have tried a number of analog delays since then, such as the Boss and Ibanez pedals, but they never really came close. The digital delays were OK, but they lacked the warmth of the analog ones. When Dunlop finally decided to reissue and update the pedal, I jumped on it! The same sweet, warm repeats and lush washes were back, and they even upped the ante by adding the capability of modulating the delays! This is a must have pedal for anyone who wants to really add a quality delay to their sound.

"Amazing analog tone for a killer price!"

I love this pedal! Until I got this, I had only played with digital delay and always wondered about the difference in tone I would get from analog delay...let's just say I never intend to mess with digital again. Not only is the delay wonderful and adjustable within any parameters you should ever need, it actually enhances your tone when engaged. It took me some time to get it dialed in where i like it, but I love it more and more as I get more familiar with it! Unless you absolutely need tap-tempo, go with this over digital every time...the price difference is negligible!

"Great pedal"

Very natural sounding pedal with good quality build. Feels very solid and compact.. Nice blue LEDs. It is a very transparent sounding unit that does not adversely color the tone of your original signal. Has the typical delay pedal features but also includes a little button to add some modulation to simulate those old time tape delays. I would say it is a really good organic sounding delay pedal. Really great.
