Why Buy

The MXR Phase 90 Pedal. This stompbox has found its way into a wide array of rock recordings, adding a shimmery velocity to lead passages or a more dramatic swoosh to muted strumming. Not just for guitars, it's a great effect with bass, keyboards and even vocals. Vary the speed from a subtle, long cycle to a fast, watery warble—and myriad vintage vibrations in between.

"Fresh, Warbly, Watery, Amazing Tones"

In a band, doing a live gig in 2 months, been playing guitar for 3 years Rock, Classic Rock, Blues Tucson, AZ

First of all, don't knock it just because it only has one knob. This is one of those classic guitar pedals in which you don't need millions of knobs to get great sound. You really only need one. You plug this baby in and the first thing you notice is that there is NO crackling or buzzing, or anything that would take away from your guitars sound. If you put your amp on clean (especially if you own a Tube Amp or something with AMAZING clean tones), and turn on the pedal, it makes it sound amazing. The way I describe it is Fresh, warbly, watery, and all around shwoosh. One of my favorite songs to play with this thing is "Breathe" by Pink Floyd. You just have to dig these amazing tones. One factor that I really love about this, is that it lets your instrument shinet through. Its not some digitized piece of "garbage" that takes your guitar's signal and changes it into something its not. It feels great when you play with this thing. Your amp and guitar just shine through. When you play this thing on distortion, I usually turn up the speed a little bit (when I play on clean its usually at or around the 9 o'clock position.) It gives it an awesome fast paced spin that really boosts your solos. The only thing is, is that on distortion or any high gain setting you can hear a little bit of "whooshing" (the effect of the pedal), but its nothing big. Buy this thing and enjoy. You will not regret it.

I bought this pedal hoping to add a dramatic effect on my leads. This was perfect. Its one knob is honestly all you need. This pedal takes about 5 secs. It adds a dramatic swoosh to fast licks and solos which is what I use it for. Its also good for rythms if thats what your into. If your looking for a good phaser, this ones definetly worth the money.

Real Straightforward and simple to use.Decent Price(cheaper than the Phase 90 evh, same guts, different paintjob). This pedal is an unending classic and can be found in hundreds of recordings from really great players since the 1970's to present. I think this pedal sounds much better that the Phase 100 and I have probably used every phase pedal that went to market.Test it out somewhere local, then get it here for less.
