This snare is wonderful I love the sound. I do know one thing after playing this snare i will never go back to a wood snare. Just tune the lugs tight and you have a great snare to beat on for life.

I have several snares. Some are expensive wood and brass by yamaha. This affordable Ludwig chrome over steel is my FAVE! It has the perfect combination of sensitivity, ring and depth. It's great! Easy to tune... tune the bottom head a bit on the high side and you'll love it... It is basically a supraphonic with chrome over steel instead of chrome over aluminum. I love this drum!
