Why Buy

Because your signal is transmitted digitally, the X2 XDS95 avoids the effects of companding and decompanding, and also eliminates the interference and noise inherent in analog signal transmission. The receiver is the first to use stompbox design. It goes on the floor where it can plug directly into your pedalboard. 24-bit conversion, dynamic range up to 117dB, and frequency response down to 10Hz assure great sound and expressive performance. 5 simultaneously compatible channels and LED display for battery status, link status, audio level, and channel. Includes a digital UHF bodypack transmitter, digital UHF stompbox receiver, instrument cable, users guide, and batteries.
  • 24-bit digital converters yield 117dB dynamic range
  • Frequency Clear 900MHz UHF means no FCC or DTV concerns
  • Q-Diversity receiver eliminates dropouts, multipathing and interference
  • Five user-selectable channels (all five are fully compatible for simultaneous use)
  • Auto-DigiScan to confidently select an open channel
  • Frequency response all the way down to 10Hz for truly thundering lows
  • TRS 1/4" output for instrument and full-bandwidth, or 'tuner out' applications
  • Five segment LED display (battery status, link status, audio level, RF level and channel)

Line 6 X2 XDS95 24-Bit Digital Wireless Instrument System
The Line 6 X2 XDS95 24-Bit Digital Instrument Wireless System from Line 6 X2 delivers your tone and performance with the sound and feel of a direct wire connection — all at a price that won't break the bank. Features include: 24-bit digital converters yielding 117dB dynamic range to capture your most expressive performances without the use of companders, 5 simultaneously compatible channels, frequency response all the way down to 10Hz for truly thundering lows, TRS 1/4" output for instrument and full-bandwidth or 'tuner out' applications, and a 5-segment LED display (battery status, link status, audio level and channel).

Operating the system is unlike any wireless you've tried before. Simply connect the transmitter to the source via the 1/8" threaded-collar locking connector and the stompbox-style receiver to your amplifier, mixer or pedal-board. Then power up making sure the transmitter and receiver are set to the same channel. That's it. You're ready to go. No knobs to adjust and no antennas to loose or break mean you're up and running in approximately the same time it takes to connect a cable.

Boasting wide frequency response and increased dynamic range, X2 XDS95 produces brilliant sound quality comparable to that of high-quality audio cables. Instead of tripping over dozens of feet of tangled cable, performers will fall for X2 XDS95's clear and powerful tone.

Extremely versatile, X2 XDS95 even simplifies the recording process. The extended frequency response, 10 Hz — 12 kHz, satisfies the expectations guitarists have come to demand from high-quality cable, but without the tangled mess. With their rigs cranked to 11 in the iso-booth, guitarists can play near the band and keep the all-important vibe and that ensures a great take.

Eliminating common issues that adversely affect traditional analog wireless systems, X2 XDS95 utilizes four antennas mounted internally to guarantee a strong and constant signal and to neutralize issues of static, interference and jamming caused by cell phones, wireless networks and other unforeseen or unknown sources of RF energy.

The X2 XDS95 System includes a digital UHF bodypack transmitter, digital UHF stompbox'receiver, instrument cable, users guide and all necessary batteries.

The most important factor of choosing wireless unit is the sound quality for me. I have recorded the cabled sound and wireless sound through xds95 and compared two signals analyzing the wave form. the resualt was unbelievable. the wireless sound is even better than cabled sound. aprox.5% more headroom gain, no punchy reduction ,no companding effect.i couldn't notified the difference even in the pro sound enviroment. plastic chasing seems to be cheap and battery drain is a little bit quick. also the range is not really satisfactory(50ft). but i can't help rating this 5star in terms of the sound quality.

The Line 6 X2 wireless system is one of the greatest deals currently available, and the recent price drop makes it an absolute steal. The XDS95 sounds amazing, and is the first system I have played that doesn't sacrifice tone for freedom. The system is simple to set up and easy to use. Both the receiver and transmitter employ a two button interface, one to turn the unit on or off and one to select the channel. There is no switches, knobs, or adjustments necessary, just plug and play and the sound is virtually the same as a cabled set up. The battery life is around 5+ hours, and I have not experienced a single dropout, weak signal, noise or any audible defect in my guitar sound. The components are all plastic and a few key pieces feel cheap. The battery door cover on the XDT1 transmitter is brittle and delicate, and since batteries will be changed quite often, it will prove to be the weak link in the system. The supplied 1/8" locking transmitter cable feels shoddy, but has proven to be reliable. An upgraded cable is available, as well as right angle alternatives. The receiver is sized for pedal board placement but the choice of foam for the bottom surface is questionable. Leaving the bottom flat and plastic would make velcro easier to apply and would result in a more secure pedal board installation. The metal transmitter clip is good enough for keeping the unit is your back pocket, but would not secure the unit to a strap. A Neotech transmitter pouch is recommended. The construction quality is the only downfall of this sonically perfect product, although it is worth noting that the company offers other models that feature metal and rack mount housings. Considering the sonic quality, the XDS95 it is an amazing achievement, and considering the price point it is a great buy. Build quality aside, I have been waiting for a wireless system that sounds good, doesn't ruin tone and provides a cabled equivalent front end for driving tube amps. The XDS95 does this and more, and the system is highly recommended.

Having played only one show with the XDS95 I can't base the review on long term experience. It does sound great with no effect on tone that I or anyone in the band could hear. There was some RF interference on the first three channels but after dialing in the fourth I played a four set show with out any problem. It's simple to set up (I have mine on my pedal board) easy to use and sounds like a quality cord. If you've never played with a wireless it's the greatest feeling not dealing with a cord. This is the wireless solution for me.
