Up until now, it has been impossible to tackle all of the issues that the acoustic guitarist faces in the studio and in live situations. I¦ve had the guitar for about one week now, and I just can¦t quit playing. Great guitar, great sound, and very "playable". And the fact that the height of the action I easy to adjust makes it even greater. Buy one and I promise that you ain¦t gonna be disappointed.

All I can say is WOW. I bought one of these as soon as I heard it. It is THE best sounding acoustic electric guitar ever. It really sounds like a great acoustic with a great mic, just by plugging it in. Even through a standard guitar amp the sound is better then most acoustic guitar pick ups. Plug it in to an acoustic amp or PA and it can't be better. It's worth it alone for the sitar sound!

USUALLY I PLAY 3 OR 4 NIGHTS PER WEEK IN A COVER BAND; I NEED TO RUN SEQUENCES IN REAL TIME WITH A GOOD SOUND. I WAS WORKING WITH MP3 PLAYERS, BUT SOMETIMES THEY FAILED AND THE "MINI-DISPLAYS" DID NOT HELP ME TO BE QUIK BETWEEN THE STROBOS LIGHTS AND FOG MACHINES. THE SP-606 HELPS ME TO BE FASTER AND I CAN CHANGE MY SET LIST IN REAL TIME. THE BIGS KNOBS AND PADS MAKE MY GIG EASIER THAN OTHER TIMES......I REALLY CAN TRUST IN MY 606 AND THE SFX SECTION SOUNDS AWESOME. YOU CAN IMPRESS YOUR AUDIENCE EVERY NIGHT. WHEN YOU WORK WITH A LOT OF SINGERS, USUALLY THE SOUND MAN DONT GET FOCUSED ON YOUR SOUND AND YOUR MIC POSITION. THE ONLY VARIABLE REALLY IS JUST THE LEVEL CAUSE ALL THE PRESETS SOUND AWESOME AND NEVER WITH FEEDBACK!!!!!!!!!

I've owned the Line 6 Variax acoustic for about 6-months now. It's a wonderful guitar in a live situation. The acoustic models really sound fantastic. The guitar is pretty simple to use. There is a dial to set the guitar model and three faders for compression, mic distance, and volume. One of the "features" that sold me on this guitar was its ability to instantly go to alternate turnings. There are several built in alternate tunings or you can create your own. There is also a virtual capo.To use the alternate tunings you have to have the amp or monitor turned up loud enough to drown out the sound that the strings are really making. This guitar really eats up the batteries. There is a power pack that comes with the guitar. The power pack has a cool feature in that you can either go to your amp/PA with either a 1/4" or XLR cable.I really love this guitar and get tons of compliments from other guitarists when I play it live. I regularly attend some open mic nights and the other musicians there really love the sound of this guitar too (trust me, they're some pretty tough critics)!!!The only issue I've ever had with this guitar was that there was no warning when my batteries were getting low. An LED is supposed to flash at you. If you use the power pack you won't have this problem....

After extensively researching electric-acoustic guitars, I chose the Variax 700 Acoustic. I've only had it for one day and there's nary a trace of buyer's remorse. On the contrary, I feel like it's a steal for what it delivers in its quality of tone and versatility, especially when compared to actual electric-acoustics in the same price range, let alone the more expensive ones.My band loves it even more, because it's reopened some sonic doors we had left closed after I had become so dissatisfied with the sound of my acoustic/pick-up combination. I had given up on playing our more acoustically based numbers. But now I am quite pleased as I pick and strum.P.S.This was my first BIG purchase thru Music123 and I was blown away by how quickly I went from ordering to playing this great guitar. Woo hoo!!!
