I got the Line 6 spider Jam 75X1 amp and couldn't be more pleased. i even sold my Fender G-Dec 30 to buy it! and it is the most powerful amp i ever had. I also have a 500 watt crate with 2X12 inch speakers and i would rather use my Spider Jam amp. even though my Crate has wheel on it the Spider is easier to move around. and i will most likely sell the crate amp anyway. its just taking up space in my small house. But if you want the ultimate amp that you don't need any body else to do what you half to , This is it ! And i most likely never have to buy another amp in my life time.
With this line 6 amp model there are an infinity of things to do with it. There are twelve amp models, tone control knobs (bass, mid, treble, channel volume, etc..), over 200 tone presets, over 200 backing tracks (bass, drumsand some with guitar in them). Inside the amp is a built in tuner, flanger, chorus, tape echo, sweep echo, delay, and phaser. This amp will never dissappoint you. The 2' tweeter and 12" celest speaker will blow your head of with amazing quality and sound. And when you turn up the volume you can hear them from miles away. Altogether this amp is AMAZING it goes from clean to twang to blues to crunch to metal and finally, last but not least INSANE. This amp definately deserves more than a five out of five. Keeping in mind that there is no universal solution, this one comes close. First, it's loud enough to play with a live drummer. The models are awesome. Okay, it's not a tube amp, but it provides a full range of acceptable models that no single tube amp will provide. The loop recorder is a serious tool for learning, cleaning up your chops and note taking. Will it give you a finished recording? No, it's a development tool, but it'll get you in a position to get to the production stage in style. Keep overdubbing, with bass, with keyboards, and with a live mic. What other amp offers such flexibility? For what it is, it's money well spent.
