Well, a year later and I have to say I am just as pleased now as I was then!( see earlier review) This amp still blows my mind. Still finding new tones. I am 110% happy and will NEVER get rid of this amp. BUT, I did buy a vintage fender All tube amp and have to admit, for pure jazz tone through my ES137 Custom , well it is better. But, for all other styles of music..Blues to classic rock to comp. stuff, I use the flex. A great amp! without an equal in this price range.. This is money well and wisely spent! Do not hesitate..buy one! Get the floor board too, it is a must! Music 123 is the place GREAT service and price beating... I simply could not be more pleased!!! Sincerely
This is the modeler to end all modelers. This amp can have experts blindfolded while you play through it and they'll be convinced you're playing through a Mesa Boogie Dual rectifier or even a superbly clean Vox amp this thing has it all: Bogners, Marshall, just to name a few, and also it has superb authentic sound effects like delay and flange. If you want a ú2000+ mesa boogie or want to play a range of songs and styles from slipknot style crunch to Fleetwood mac twang, this amp can do all those things without a doubt.
I've had this amp for 3 months now and I'm loving it. I'm finding new tones to play with all the time. With 32 amp modes, 16 effects, tap tempo, delay and don't forget different cab modes, you can come up with plenty your self. This thing is loud. I think this amp would be good enough for a small club or bar for like 100-150 people. You get a lot for your money with this amp. You will be happy and impressed with this amp.
I have had this Flex III for about 3 weeks now. I could not be more pleased! This was the third modeling amp I have purchased in the last year. Looking for "that" sound and feel. I have found it here. A modeling amp that plays, feels and sounds like a tube amp. Warmth and dark depth of a classic jazz amp...crunch of a classic tube Fender or Marshall. Clean like Dire str8's or the thrash of new metal. It's not that it is capable of doing all these things...it's that it does them ALL very very well! No holes in any sound you create. The amp models are as dead on as you can get. Not only in sound but in feel as well. Line 6 has awesome support online. Down load any sound from just about any band/player you want. 1000's & 1000's of them. Create your own sound. Pink Floyd, nailed it. Nugent, nailed it. As far as gigging, you NEED the shortboard. It gives you the memory you need and it is very well designed. User friendly. it has a tuner too. LOUD! it will cover all but the largest rooms all on it's own. Go to the web site, download the user manual and check out the tone library. It is worth it. I have never rated anything 5 stars. until now.
Awesome modeling amp!! I got a spider for Christmas and wasn't happy with it after a couple of weeks à so I got this.
