I needed a delay pedal for my guitars badly and after some research I came to the conclussion that the DL-4 was the right delay/echo pedal for me. Paired up with my Marshall AVT 20 amp and Fender Standard Strat, the DL-4 has become the perfect tool for recording in my make-shift home studio or jamming with my buddies. With so many options (16) you are bound to find more then your fair share of delays/echoes to fall in love with. You can emulate classic tones with the Tube Echo, Tape Echo or my favorite classic delay, the Multi Head, which is based on the Roland RE-101 Space Echo (trying findind one of those). Don't stop there you have 13 other options including the Loop Sampler. Hit record, play a sweet lick, press play and hit the reverse button and watch everyone in the room freak out. This pedal is so cool. It's worth the cash even just for the ridiculously long loop sampler time (14 seconds - 28 @ half sample quality!).I already have one and am about to buy another (first one currently in storage...).It can be used in a studio setup or live. It is a very flexible delay/sampler once you master the customizing of each of the effects.
Crystal clear sound. The only digital pedal I've heard that doesn't color the guitar's tone. Easy to program, and I don't have to reprogram it between songs because it has 3 memory banks. I'm going to buy either the filter modeler or the modulation modeler next.
