This horn can be a real gem, but it often turns out to be lemon. The horn has intonation problems. Not that other flugels dont but just know that you are getting a horn that have a few strange notes in it. The quality control of leblanc is terrible. I know I had to send back 3 Arturo trumpets because of defects, and now I have a freind with a brand new flugel that has poor valve and slide compression. That would be forgivable, but the valves are just plain bad. They are clunky and often stick. The fact is though... the horn has a really nice tone, and is a pleasure to play in regards to flexibility, and range. If you expect a really Pro-quality horn your going to be dissapointed, but if you are looking for something middle of the road to get you through college or through High School go for it. Its sound quality may be worth the price but I know the craftsmanship isn't.

I cant imagine anyone not being impressed with this flugelhorn. It really has a great smooth flugel sound. Great intonation and it looks beautiful. I know that every horn can play differently (even same brand and model) but this horn play wonderfully.

I tried out 4 different flugelhorns and this one was awesome. I think its the best flugelhorn. It is easy to get the sound out and it gets the air through very good.

Perfection. Sound. Tone. Expression. Articulation. It has it all. Forget the Kanstul, that's old school. This Arturo opens up your playing to new heights. Best flugel I've ever owned. And I have a Kanstul Sign. and a Courtoise. For beautiful legatos and jazz phrasing this flugel reigns Master. Besides the instrument is absolutely magnificent to look at. Its really special

I purchased the Leblanc Sandoval flugel with the copper bell. Upon arrival, instantly I was impressed with the doubler case and when I opened it to see the horn, I almost didn't want to touch it as it was so beautiful. But when I played it, I believe God himself stopped to listen. Wow! This is my 3rd flugelhorn. It stands miles above my former Jupiter and Courtois. It is a match to the Kanstul Signature at a better price. Thanks.
