Designed to eliminate the durability issues inherent with natural guiros, the LP243 is precision-molded from high-strength plastic. It is designed to have the shape, feel, and sound quality of natural gourd guiros. The location of the rubber-lined finger holes provides maximum comfort and control. The Super Guiro comes with two scrapers, a plastic model for bright, loud sound, and a wood model for a warm, dry sound. The LP243 Super Guiro can also be mounted on a drum or percussion table using an optional LP Mic Claw.

You can't go wrong with this guiro. It's very durable and the thumb and finger holes are lined with rubber, so it's comfortable to hold and hard to drop. Try different scapers to get different sounds and dynamics. Great for a symphonic band, steel drum band, latin percussion section, etc.
