The plastic "wood" block and the tambourine are very workable and useful. Good tone from both and the mounting kit allows you to set them up so that the tambourine always rings along with the block or not (depending on the angle you mount it, etc.). My only criticism is that the mounting bracket seems to slip on all of my stands, so I had to add on another stopper to hold it in place.
