"good for marching bands" by trumpet-girl

Musical Experience: High school band director
Style of Music: march, pop, jazz, classical
Hometown: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

I purchased 349 of these little things. Very handy when it comes to marching. Every player in my band has one that they use on the field when practicing. I insist on using them every chance I get. I use one myself during rehearsals to help me keep the beat. I love the fact that they keep the beat consecutively and that the battery doesn't run low quickly. This is a great buy if you're having trouble keeping your band on beat or if you yourself as an individual are having trouble. They're inexpensive and wonderfully discrete, so you can basically wear them anywhere.

"Good, worst thing is bad beep" by Dan Nguyen

I got some new things to add about this metro. First everything else still holds. Its pretty good and all.A few bad things...if you play with earplugs, this thing will not help since your instrument will probably outplay it and it will get filtered out by the earplug. What it needs is some conical 3-flanged earpiece to go right into your ear so it blocks out other sounds so it acts as an earplug but ALSO makes it so you can hear it more clearly over your/other instrument(s). This thing can get loud though when its quiet (which would be nice if had a volume control so you could fit it with an earplug earbud and turn the volume down).Last thing. The beep on this thing is on the "higher" end. Meaning it doesnt have a lot of base. What can happen is that you can no longer hear the metro (could be fixed like above if you can find an earplug that will fit over the "earbud" style earpiece, like earplugs for swimmer earbuds). With other metros (like the MA-30) the beeping is low, and more like a tradition piano metro. There is more bass, so you can FEEL the beat if the metro starts to get outplayed. With this tiny thing...its high = no bass = no feel.

"One of the greatest metronomes that I have used" by Band fanatic

Musical Experience: Hobbyist
Style of Music: classical, jazz
Hometown: CA

The day I recieved my Korg MM1, I was a little optimistic as to how good of a product it may be. I opened it from its plastic casing to find that it is not much different from other metronomes. When I tried it, I found that it was much more applicable and easy to use. You can set it for a vast range of tempos, time signature, and much more. It fits comfortably in you ear, and even accents on the first beat; you always end up knowing where you are when counting. I definitely recomend this product to any music fan, because it offers all that you will ever need in a metronome. Also, my friends have bought this product and give the same opinion as I do.

"Caution Drummers" by In search of loud beeps
2/1/2005 3:36:16 PM

Musical Experience: Gigging drummer
Style of Music: Rock, Metal, Praise
Hometown: Kansas City

I urge all drummers who are tempted to purchase this metronome to hold off, it is not worth it. I tried this one, you can't hear it over the drums at all. I was playing with brushes and I couldn't hear. The metronome worked fine, the volume is just not enough. I also agree with the guy who said the beep was really high pitched. I would recommend this to anyone but a drummer.

Very convenient, and personal metronome. Has all the settings of other metronomes except super fancy ones that count in words for you, etc.Battery lasts forever, plus the metronome is really cheap.
