Korg DT-7 TunerThe Korg DT-7 Tuner has a large, easy-to-read LED meter, super-accurate tuning in all modes, a built-in buffer amp to eliminate "loading" effects normally found when playing through a tuner, a "sound out" mode for silent tuning that is remotely switchable (from a footswitch), especially bright LEDs, and a built-in microphone. The DT-7 tunes both in a normal mode or in the Buzz Feiten mode for guitars, a patented tuning that adjusts or tempers the standard tuning slightly to set up in the Feiten system.

This is a good tuner for any application, but the real selling point (obviously) is the inclusion of a Buzz Feiten setting -- currently the ONLY tuner with such a feature. So the question I had before I bought it was, "what's the difference?" Well, I still don't really know what the difference IS, other than the fact that the tuner, when set for BFTS, includes separate settings for "open" and "12th fret" so you can actually adjust your intonation -- not just your tuners -- in accordance with the BFTS. But, I can say that there does seem to BE a difference. My BFTS-equipped guitar sounded fantastic when it first arrived, but after two weeks in my climate, it went all to crap. The tuner in my amp and my Korg C-30 didn't help, it sounded just as bad as all my other guitars. 20 minutes with the DT7 adjusting the intonation as well as tuners did the trick, it sounds superior again. I have to assume the 12th fret tuning on the BFTS setting is not standard (Buzz' top secret recipe?) and therefore the different results. To summarize: very good tuner, the BFTS has genuinely seemed to help, I only give it four stars because NO tuner on Earth is worth $80 in my opinion.
with the Buzz Fretein tuning system, or any otherits a breeze.. Well worth the cost. tunes to strings 1-6 instead of the acual cords
I really enjoy using this tuner. It's so easy to visually see exactly where you are and where you need to go. The tuner is accurate beyond 10 cent as the intensity of the light display changes and fluctuates, i.e. 10 cent off=solid red light, 5 cent off=fluctuation between red and green, dead on=solid green light. It's a great tuner for the price plus you get the "Buzz"
My guitar has the Buzz feiten system on it. When I got this tuner, my Washburn sounded so much better than it did with just a standard tuner. The only complaint about this tuner is that once you are in tune with the Buzz feiten system, everyone else in your band sounds out of tune, due to the offsets. So my complaint is about the system, and not the tuner. Great tuner. It also has a standard chromatic tuner on it if you don't have the BFTS, which also works well. Get this if you want a quality product, whether you have the BFTS or not.
