I have a Jupiter Tenor Sax and I've never seen anything more fantastic than Jupiter . I'm trying to collect all the saxes ( soprano , alto , tenor, and baritone. )I have that tenor and a soprano . The soprano is not Jupiter but the other two I need probably will be .

I have a Yamaha tenor and soprano and needed an alto for the occasional song, so I compared several makes and models before settling on the Jupiter 767. It has a very solid feel, good fit and quality finish. The Jupiter 767 plays well and is very comparable in quality to the top Japanese offerings.

"A Pro Horn"

I played Mk VIs for years and finally wore them out. I replaced them (Tenor and alto) with 767s and 789s. These are excellent instruments for the pro OR the student. At list price, they're a great deal. At discount, they're a steal. Those who relegate this horn to the student pile just haven't tried the Jupiter. The 767 and the 789 have all of the pro features found on most of the more expensive models. My advice for the serious player: for the price you'd pay for the supposed "pro" high-status horns, you can own two altos and two tenors, and have money left over for good mouthpieces. If you're a serious player, you will need a backup. I bought Jupiters and I never looked back.

I think this sax is the best thing that ever happened 2 me. I can't wait until marching season comes back around because this is what I have been looking' for. I would definitely recommend this. Now I have the extra push that I wanted w/my other saxes. Instead of settling for 3rd chair, I am on the verge of going for 1st chair. I am a freshman w/high expectations to get the 1st chair. I'm pretty sure that I will be able to do it with this sax. It took some time to get used to the F# key, but I love it.

This was my first sax ever. As soon as I picked it up I loved it. It has great tone and response, and a nice coat of paint! I would recommend this to anyone just starting out or needing a step-up horn.
