We have used these horns in both concert and marching band. My comments on these are are as follows:1) a great starter horn for a small tuba player 2)a great value for good quality 3)not the biggest or fullest sound but excellent intonation unlike other horns you find at this price 4)We tried it as a convertible marching horn....not really a big enough sound for the field...however if you have smaller people or girls who might struggle with a big shoulder horn its a nice option to have. Great value, Excellent playing horn, great case. If your budget is tight and you need the best horn for the money this may be a great choice.

I think this Tuba is a great deal.

This tuba I have used before, the thing about this tuba is that it could be meant for upright or marching use. This tuba is good if you want a decent 3/4 student tuba but it has its downsides. Well the tuba is not very good if your gonna play loud cause the screws that hold the leadpipe loosen after play, but none the less, its good. The tuba has pretty good valves, but thats my opinion because I play a full size now and when I play this one, it feels like a baritone and I can play a bit faster on it. But anyways, this tuba is good for a student and I don't complain to that, just make sure to tighten the screws on the leadpipe if they loosen.

I purchased this model Tuba for my elementary school band a few years ago,and have been very pleased with it. It has a better sound than the old Besson that we were using. I find the Jupiter Low Brass instruments that I have purchased for my school program to be an excellent value.

Jupiter brass tubas are the best. I played one, and I love it!
