This is one of the greatest values in a trumpet, even if it only had one bell. It is a well made horn of good design. The two bells are icing on the package. The horn will not fit in the case with the upturned bell installed. The upturned bell has the warmer tone. Tuning can be done by adjusting the bell and/or tuning slide. I prefer to adjust the bell as I believe it has less of an effect on intonation. The valve fit is excellent and all slides move smoothly but without leakage. This is one of the easier horns to play, requiring less effort than most.

"Great value in a trumpet kit."

The novelty of this package is in the two bells. The upturned bell is slightly larger and has a little smoother and richer sound. The straight bell has the brighter more focused sound. The silver plating adds quality to the sound as well as the appearance. The interchangeable bells allow you to tune the horn by moving the bell as well as by using the tuning slide. I prefer moving the bell. This is a well made horn. Fit of the valves is almost perfect and all slides fit well. This is a great value in this price range.

Well, I have had the Jupiter 1010 for several years; first the original model, then the 1010S. Not only do they work perfectly whatever you want to play - classical, orchestral, big band, brass and reed band - but with the second bell (which usually is somewhat lighter in sound) they center attention on you. There is one drawback - they do not work very well in the extreme high register (C3 and upwards) so that for lead trumpet work, you might consider getting a third bell (the Schilke bells fit and work extremely well).Although I change trumpets very frequently, this type has been a fixture in my collection for the last five years (and I own four of them...)

This Trumpet is a great value. The straight bell has a warm rich tone and the upbell has a brighter rounder sound. Buy it!

Over the last two years, I have owned a Yamaha Bobby Shew, Bach Strad Big Apple, and this instument. This is the most free blowing of the three and the valve action is excellent.

"Awesome!"

The Jupiter Tribune gives me what I want. For Concert and Symphonic I use my straight bell and (it) gives me a great warm sound. Just change the faired bell and you're ready for jazz. If you want people to notice you in jazz you got your faired bell up. The flair gives you a light tone which is easier for the higher registers and the straight is actually just as easy, only that it has a warmer tone. I recommend this trumpet for anyone who is ready for the next trumpet challenge! Its lots of fun!

Well worth its price. This trumpet has an excellent tone, is free flowing, smooth sound. Flared bell adds to projection. Professional trumpet sound for a beginner price.
