I bought a set of JoRal Bucket mutes for my big band, and found that while the bass trombone mute fits well (tried with Bach 50B and Holton TR181), the fit of the large and small tenor mutes on a variety of tenor trombones wasn't as good. In particular, the small and large tenor mutes have exactly the same size throats, so for a smaller bell tenor (with a smaller bell throat), neither goes far enough into the bell (without shaving down the corks) to fit very well. The bell coverage is about the same between the bass and large tenor mutes, so the corresponding muted tones match well. However, the small tenor mute sticks out just as far as the large one, due to the same throat size, and because it's got a smaller bucket, the sound is more open. This makes it brighter and difficult to match. In addition, it sticks out a bit farther than the large tenor mute, since it's longer, increasing the chance that it will fall out due to gravity. I wish that JoRal had made the mute throat smaller on the small tenor mute!

I've been trying to get this mute for years and finally found it! Great sound and not as heavy as it looks. Much lighter than the standard bucket mute. Get one if you can.
