Absolutley a great guitar. Tune it up and right out of the box it sounds incredible. I have about 10 years playing time and have played many beginner guitars; this is hands down the best. I own a $$ Alzarez Yari and I'd have to say the sound compares. The Jasmine has an excellent solid construction and great tone. I bought the Jasmine so I'd have something to play while I am in Iraq. I bought this guitar about 6 months ago thinking that I was getting a cheap guitar. However, what I got was a great guitar for a great price. The wood is beautiful, the sound and tone is sharp and awesome, and the price is unbeatable. Takamine did a great job with this guitar by making one that stays in tune and is easy to play. I would recommend this guitar to anyone, from beginners to advanced players, who wants a guitar that keeps getting better the longer you play it.
I just received my Jasmine this week. The guitar is beautiful - until you look at it a little closer. There are several blemishes and imperfections in the finish. Also, the binding is actually chipped in one spot. It has nothing to do with the sound and I know it's not real expensive but you can't help but expect it to be perfect. It has a great feel in my hands and I look forward to getting better as I go. I was a little dissappointed in how long it took to arrive. It took over a week and a half to show up - and it came in 2 shipments - the case and some other stuff on one day and the guitar the next.I still would recommend both the guitar and Music123.

Awesome guitar. Couldn't ask for more. It's my first acoustic, and I love it. Great sound. Dark and rich. Strings are a bit hard, but you'll get used to them.
