Although I play Fender Precision and Fender Jazz .. I bought this bass on a whim as I was taken by its looks. Its not a heavy bass by any means and seems well finished. I dont like the Plastic part which holds the volume and tone controls, I would have perhaps liked something a little more robust. The balance of the bass is good. Soundwise it is very in your face. Loud and punchy very suprising considering the mini humbucker pickups. No thumb rest means you can chose to rest on front or back pickup if thats your way and it gives way to a great deal of tonal change. It has a kinda rickenbacker meets gibson appeal For the money its a good Bass and will get people asking what it is if nothing else. Personally I like it..given a few tacky finishes here n there Im yet to roadtest it on a few gigs to see how she flies. I would recommend You test one before you buy. My overall impression would be Good Bass for the money with plenty of Tonal Variation. I would rate it at 4 stars.
