i had never heard of these sticks before this past summer when our drumline got them, and they felt pretty good. not too heavy, but not too light. i found that they were harder to control than my previous vic firths, and felt sloppy when playing fast. they splintered after only 2 months of steady practicing, and one stick that i taped up before i started using it shattered in the tape. not my favorite stick at all

These are by far the best sticks I have ever played with. I let some of my high school friends use them when they have been using Vic Firth Ralph Hardimons and they love these so much more than the RH's. If you want the best stick in the world, get this one!

At school one day I saw the hs-bk drum sticks in a frends stick bag and I thought they looked funny. Man I was wrong. After I tried playing with them I could do so much more after that I spent a week trying to get my own pair. I almost gave up, I tried every music store near me. I finally saw this site bought a ffx marching and stick bag with a pair of my own fs-bk drum sticks. Funny thing is when I played I used a practice paddrum I can't wait till they get in so I can use them on a real good marching snare.

These sticks are pretty good. They're like the Tom Aungst of Innovative Percussion. The rebound is there and it sounds great. The only downside is that they break relatively easy. I used them a lot over the summer just clicking to keep time and broke them after about 2 months.
