The world renowned guitarist Joe Satriani and Ibanez bring you the JS1000. Powered by DiMarzio pickups and ready to blaze with an Ibanez Prestige neck and Lo Pro Edge bridge, you can get a glimpse of the Joe Satriani magic. Includes hardshell Ibanez Case.

Ibanez JS1000 2002 Electric Guitar
Joe Satriani JS1000

Designed and played by the Master of Tone, Joe Satriani, this piece, simply put, is an ultra-modern guitar with a vintage feel.
If you know how exacting Joe is in getting the best tones in the business, then by definition his signature model has to be a great guitar. Once you've experienced this guitar, you will realize that it was designed to be like Joe himself-capable of out-of-this-world sonic speed, extraordinary musicality, and tone, tone, and more tone.

The lightweight, aerofoil-shaped basswood body provides comfort, upper fret access, and expressive, singing tone. A tilt-output jack ensures your guitar cable stays put during even the most active performances while coil taps on both pickups provide for single or humbucking tone.

Then, there is the multi-radius Prestige neck, an exact digital rendering of the neck on Joe's favorite axe. Furthermore, the combination of a 25 1/2" neck scale and DiMarzio pickups allows wide dynamic range and tonal versatility.

IF YOU LIKE BLUES AND YOU LIKE ROCK THEN YOU'LL LOVE THIS. IT HAS GREAT TONE, PERFECT FOR BLUES. BUT WHEN YOU WANT TO MAKE SOME NOISE,WELL I THINK YOU KNOW WHAT I'M GETTING AT... ITS A GREAT GUITAR. I KNOW SOME PEOPLE SAY THAT ITS FLAT OR THAT IT HAS NO EDGE TO IT, BUT THEY'RE WRONG. THEY JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE IT PROPERLY. JOE SATRIANI SEEM'S TO LIKE IT AND IT SOUNDS GREAT WHEN HE PLAYS IT. THATS WHAT GOT ME TO BUY ONE AND I LOVE IT. and I think you will to

The first time I played this guitar I was like, "whoa...". The multi-radius neck is very easy to play and very comfortable, and the body is very smooth and just looks awesome. The DiMarzio pickups are great sounding, offering that tone. But what really amazed me was the bridge. Best tremolo bridge ever. No other tremolo compares to this. You can finally do those things that Satriani does in his songs. With the price that this guitar is at, there is no better guitar anywhere near this price.

I have a JS1000BTB that is nothing short of incredible. The sharpness of the grind in these guitars is incredible. The factory set-up, as relayed by Ricsaw is pathetic at best. My set up was performed by Rich Harris who is world renowned for his work on the eclectic model Ibanez guitars. It's a smooth sound when you want it and has plenty of balls for that grinding "Joe" sound as well, with plenty of sound to spare. It's by far the most easy to play and comfortable guitars I've ever owned. I will be purchasing another one within the next year for sure. I can say without reserve it's the first guitar I've owned that is truly fun to play. The Fred pickups are as incredible as the design of this axe.
