Ibanez JEM7V Steve Vai Signature Electric GuitarIbanez Steve Vai JEM7V
There are few that would argue Steve Vai's tremendous influence on modern guitar playing. There is no one who would argue Steve Vai's tremendous influence on Ibanez guitars.Innovations created by Steve and Ibanez designers can be found in so many Ibanez instruments, from pro through entry-level. Such features as Vai's own choice of specific DiMarzio pickups on the JEM7V are one reason. Combined with Ibanez Split-5 wiring, this tandem provides for incredible tone versatility.
Furthermore, the alder body with 24-fret JEM neck provides easy access to all registers. The deep routed tremolo cavities allow pitches to be raised or lowered. When Steve Vai played this instrument, with it's Edge tremolo, lighting fast two octave neck, and beautifully sculpted body when it came out in 1987, it was cutting edge. Today, it is still cutting edge, and that is the mark of a true classic.

But, when I got the Ibanez Jem7vwh, it surely is my primary axe now. A lot faster than the flying V, DiMarzio pickups are amazing, and the guitar looks so beautiful! I like the abalone design on the fretboard. It's so "prestige"! One thing to mention thought, if you want to play some heavy metal, or maybe death metal stuff with lots of power, then don't buy this guitar.
What can I say? Ibanez hit a home run with this guitar. Wow! It is almost as good as the Jem 10.
I have had the jem7vwh for 6 years and refuse to play anything other than this beautiful piece of craftsmanship. Not only is it the best looking guitar I have ever seen, but it is also the smoothest neck action I have ever played. The tone and the pickups make this guitar scream through my Marshall amp just like Stevie does. I have been able to reach speeds on riffs that I never thought possible. Now I know how it`s done. I can`t say enough about this perfect machine. What are you waiting for? Go out and get one. You will absolutely not be disappointed.
One of the most beautiful guitars I've seen and played. Quality parts and craftsmanship can be seen through out. The alder body produces a noticeably different sound than my basswood guitars. The action is higher than I expected, but I can lower that no problem.
I have many nice guitars. Ovation folklore, peavey Wolfgang, Gibson Les Paul. I got this guitar today and was shocked at how it blew the others away. The neck is so smooth. Your hands just glide across it. The sound is so perfect. You can get several different sounds and some of the clean is so crisp and beautiful. The trems are incredible at staying in tune and bouncing back into tune. As for cosmetics. beautiful. This guitar is a need. I love it. You will too.
