This was the first 5-string bass that I ever owned and it is great. It's not that expensive and it sounds really good. The Ibanez Soundgear series is the only kind of bass I play now because of the quality and playability of all of the Ibanez Soundgear basses. The neck is rather thin, which makes it easier to play, and I would recommend this bass to anyone who wants to begin playing a 5-string or anyone who just was a good priced, goodsounding bass.In other words ths is a really good bass.

This is my 16th bass guitar and it is #1 on my list. If you think that you want a bass guitar, it is a really great guitar. It is also a very good beginner guitar. My little brother just got it and he loves it. I hope you enjoy it.

I bought bass when I was in 10th grade and now I am a junior in college. This bass feels great and sounds very good. The hardware has held out wonderfully even though many hot jam sessions in sheds and such. I've messed around with a lot of beginner basses and this honestly is my favorite bass under 600.

Pretty good bass for the money you're spending. I gave it a 4 rating because of everything I had to do when iIrecieved this bass. I would suggest to tighten the screws that hold in the pickups and adjust the truss bar when you get this product. Overall this bass has a good sound. The active pickups give it that sound when you're playing from jazz, to rock, ETC. I would recommend this guitar for people who are first time 5 string users.
