"Excellent beginner bass"

I recently purchased the GSR200 Transparent Red. I am very happy with the aesthetic beauty of this instrument and the excellent workmanship for this low end bass. I'm a beginner on electric bass so I can't speak with much experience, however I am very satisfied with my choice and I think I will be able to grow with this bass for many years before trading up, if ever. It did require a little set-up tweaking for intonation, when I first got it. I bought the Ibanez SWR65 amp at the same time and am equally impressed with the sound. I wouldn't recommend going for lower wattage, even for a beginner. I like being able to grow into the equipment as my skill improves.

This is my kind of bass. It has a great sound, stays in tune pretty well, and has three pickups! The best part is the price. I got mine for $200. I've had it for about 2 months and don't plan on replacing it anytime soon. recommended to everyone, especially beginners.

I just got this bass today, and it is just great. This bass has a great feel. The neck is fast, and you can slide up and down with little effort. The pickups sound great and with two volume and one tone control. You can mess around to find your own sound. It seems to be built well, and the tuners stay in tune pretty well. Overall, this is a great bass for beginners.

My friend, which is also the bassist in my band, got this bass...He actually he got the Jumpstart pack w/this bass in it. (I think it's the same bass) It's an AWESOME bass. It has great sound. I thought it was really light for a bass. (That's a good thing) umm... I recommend it to any level of skill. It's an all around bass....my friend got a 50-watt crate amp and this bass is AMAZING W/THAT AMP!

I bought this as my first bass. This is the best bass for the price. The tone is good, the finish is beautiful(especially in blue.)My only gripes are feedback, and the finish gets scratches on it really easy. but for 200 bucks, I really can't complain.

Got this bass just to mess around with. Sounds great. I haven't played many others, but I've heard a lot of higher end ones, and hear no differences. Pick it up, its the best in its price range. Slim neck, good pickups. What else do you need?

I bought this bass a month ago for my daughter. I used to play my brother's Fender Precision and I didn't expect the G200 to measure up. I was pleasantly surprised at what a nice instrument this is for such a low price. It's got a good action and nice tone. My only complaint was the knobs which aren't marked and sometimes don't seem to work properly which is weird. This is a minor and infrequent problem however. It's not a Precision but it's lighter and easy to play. My skinny little daughter couldn't have handled the weight of a Fender. This bass is a keeper.

I cant stress enough what a versatile bass this is. My father taught me bass when I turned 13 and I took it from there. I played an old Ibanez of his for awhile(sounds good, but I wanted my own) and on Christmas of my 14th birthday, (my birthday is 11 days before Christmas) I got this bass and the case with it. Now I'm 15 and I still use this bass for everything. I play it through a Behringer Ultrabass. It sounds awesome. I wouldn't call myself expert but I'm better than intermediate. this bass does everything, 60's rock, heavy...HEAVY metal, ...jazz, blues, swing, this pickups are amazing. It is perfect for beginners.I just cant say enough...only bass you will ever have to buy.
