This is definitely the best mini axe my dad has given me it's is so freakin rockin when i plug in to my handwired marshall stack it sounds beast
I got this guitar about a year and a half ago. It was the first guitar. Overall the build quality of this guitar is good, except for one major flaw, the fret bars are too large, they stick out of the neck and they are SHARP. I filed mine down so that it would be more playable. The pickups are great, and and the overall sound of the guitar is good. My friends has a fender and they sound about identical. Bottom Line: This is a good 1st guitar, but unless you really need a mini guitar (I don't) or have a small budget(like I did), get something nicer.
This instrument was purchased for an 11 yr old beginner student of mine. I am impressed with the overall construction and design. The down-sizing is a significant advantage for someone with small hands. The tuners are sub-standard in my opinion, but then again given the low price I suppose one can hardly complain. I'd recommend this model without hesitation to any beginner student of rock/metal guitar.
