I quit playing guitar a few years back and decided I wanted to start playing again. I had done a lot of research on the internet before I even walked into a guitar store and had expected to pay around $500-$700 for a nice acoustic/electric guitar. I was not planning on walking out with anything that day and really hadn't even considered Ibanez, but when I picked up this guitar, I just knew it was the one for me. It is easy to play and has an incredibly rich, warm tone that makes it hard to put down. I love the built in electronic tuner and am amazed with how well it stays in tune even after hours of play. I also like the unique design and finish, which needs to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. Go out and play this guitar for yourself and I think you'll agree it can't be beat for the money.
Ash EW20ASENT; well priced and very good build. Good tuners, split saddle, good pegs, nice controls for undersaddle pickup. Action is outstanding and a great 'springy' feel. Finish is plenty sturdy, if a bit heavy, but well shot and no runs or buildup. No case and requires a deep, large case. For the money, hard to beat: handsome, plays great, very balanced and pretty acoustically, though not real loud. Very good plugged in with minimal 'quack' common to undersaddle pickups. I'd recommend it to anyone less than a pro for it's ability to have all the important things an A/E needs, except big volume. I'd like to see something beat it for quality, sound, action and price, if that guitar exists !
Like all my instrument purchases I treated this like a 3000$ guitar. I visited every shop in my area numerous times over a period of roughly two months. I played a large number of guitarsin the aproximate price range. I am a firm believer that the "riight guitar" is a matter of personal preference so I don't intend to "talk down" any of the other guitars I tried out, uless deserved. BY FAR, this was the best sounding, most versatile and need I say it,if one has already caught your eye to, the best looking guitar for the price out there. Rich full tones, out of the box set up was great. Every one I playied with prior to purchase was consistent in quality. In short I am REALLY please with this guitar. And to clarify Ispent alot of hours playing and checking out similiar priced models, with the following results.
Hard to fault anything on this super cheap guitar. Sounds very good, looks nice, plays well, good electronics, split IvorexII saddle, good tuner. 1/4 and XLR jacks. Well built. For under a grand, it is hard to beat. Much nicer than a lot of Taylors and Martins and most Gibsons. Built in China and done right. No way you'd be disappointed (I'm a picky guitar player!).
