Ibanez ART100 Electric Guitar
The first single-cutaway Artist in 30 years, the Ibanez ART2100 Artist is an affordable, old-school-style solidbody with top-of-the-bill features. The contoured mahogany body has a mahogany set neck for excellent resonance. The Artcore ACH1-S and ACH2-S humbuckers filter out interference from electrical sources while using ceramic magnets to pump out all the crunch and sustain you'll need to rock the house. The Gibraltar III tailpiece lets you easily adjust each string for solid intonation. The short 24-2/3" scale makes note bending a breeze on the bound rosewood fretboard with 22 medium frets. The 12th fret has a special ART inlay for a modest touch of flair.

I got this guitar because I needed a good backup to my Gibson Les Paul. But after playing it for a couple of days it quickly became my number one instrument. The set neck is nice and flat, but the thickness is somewhere between a Les Paul and Wizard II. Extreme body comfort thin around edges, thick at bridge and pickups. Superb finish, looks much more beautiful in front of you than on a computer or magazine. Now the good part, the tone. The pickups aren't the highest output but are very good, especially for blues. I really don't believe that there is a style of music that this guitar can't handle. I'm going to put different pickups on it but that's only because I'm going to start touring again and want a more solid metal tone.
