I went to guitar center with a few of my friends and picked it up and it took me two hours to get it out of my hands... its one of the greatest acostic basses out there for a 4 string

"Awesome" by Alex

In just one word, I would have to describe this bass as awesome. Its simply an awesome bass, everything about it is very nice. When playing unplugged the sound is very strong, no problems whatsoever with not being able to hear it, and it stays strong all the way down through the E string. Then when you get it plugged in, I am using mine with an Ibanez amp, so that might have something to do with it, but the sound blew me away. Once I get the equalization, and presence set, it was amazing. The note sustains for as long as you need it, no kill point, and yet you can get it to cut off when you need to just like a regular solid body. Also, the phase control on the pickup is very nice, it gives the sound a very distinctive, semi-compressed feel. As far as feedback with the amp goes, I haven't noticed any at all. My old solid body buzzed and popped, but this thing is relatively quiet. If your looking for a good acoustic bass, but still want the electric option, this is what you want, hands down.

Easy to play. Nice sound. Workmanship is okay. Built-in tuner is very handy. Pickup is flexible and gets a wide range of sounds.I think I am going to use this a lot in recording.

Don't let the fact that this bass is made in China scare you. It is a solid massive chunk of wood, very well built and sounds great unplugged, but wait until you plug it in. The equalizer allows you to find nearly any sound you want. I bought this bass on the Ibanez name alone and am not disappointed. The action is as good or better than many electric basses and the neck is classic Ibanez, thin and fast. I actually gigged with it on a jazz set and the sound was incredible.
