I've played professionally for over 30 years. During that time, I have used only one Horn mute and that is the Humes and Berg. It's reliable and the tone quality, even for loud practice is excellent! I sincerely believe that daily practice with the mute will help a player to increase endurance and build a full, resonant sound. An exceptional item for the professional's Horn arsenal.
