I have not owned my Humes and Berg Cup Mute for very long, but I do know that it is a quality mute. The mute plays perfectly at all ranges and has a consistent sound. The mute blows very freely, but still give's you a good sound. This mute is by far one of the cheapest Cup Mutes out there and easily out performs many of the more expensive ones. Metallic cup mutes give the player a different sound, so if your looking for a really buzzy sound I wouldn't recommend this mute, but it's perfect for a student or someone who doesn't want to pay the high prices of other mutes.
