My grandfather used this harmonica, and left it to my dad who in turn gave it to me. I taught myself how to play a little, and this harmonica makes it easy while you can still reach every note imaginable. great harmonica.

When I received the new Chrometta 14 and gave it a try, there was a great difference in its performance compared to my other Hohner harmonicas. Then, I noticed that nowhere was the proud "Made in Germany" embossed, nor even printed. Finally I saw the small paper label on the case, "Made in China".After calling Hohner HDQ in Virginia, they tell me that some are made in China (I suspect most are made in China). I have played Hohner harmonicas for seventy years, and there is a great difference in the sound, the ease of playing, and the quality in this Chinese instrument and the German versions.The note valves expand under warmth while playong. This causes sticking and increased flexibility of the note valves. The tone likewise suffers.I am sure the claim of Hohner now will be that it is the same product they have always made. Jim SkeNo way/
