This is a fantastic looking and sounding guitar. Right out of the box everything was set up great.(It was even in correct tuning) I played this in the store sitting down and it was very easy to play so i had them grab me a new one in the back. I brought it home and hooked on a strap and all of a sudden it was WAY more difficult to play while standing up. unless you have it hanging very high up or very low it's a bit hard to play good. i play electric folk punk and mix in alot of palm mutes so it was hard to play this guitar with my style. but none the less a great guitar and i would recommend it. just try it with a strap first to make sure it suites your playing style.

Excellent classic Gretsch sound from the Imitation Filter-trons. Doesn't have the sustain of a solid body but that's the way it's supposed to be; all those solid body Metal guitars tend to sound alike but nothing sounds like a Gretsch! You can also play it unplugged! Bigsby doesn't affect tuning (unless you lean on it which will happen with ANY Trem or Vibrato)! Mine has the floating bridge which makes re-stringing trickier but enables you to get the intonation spot-on! I also absolutely love the appearance! It is flawless! It doesn't come with a case but a dreadnought acoustic case fits perfectly. Don't Let the Mid-range price fool you. This Guitar is just as good as the US made models and is definately worth the money.

The guitar arrived at my house perfectly setup. The action is low with no fret buzz. The neck is smooth and the medium frets are very nicely finished. The overall appearence is all I could hope for. The sound is all Gretsch. I would buy this guitar if you are looking for a hollowbody in this price range. I have three other guitars and yet I find myself picking this one up first. I play through a Fender Hot Rod Delux amp and I also use an amp modeler through my P A system.

Flawless right out of the case...I have a Gibson es-335, Les Paul Custom, SG, and IÆll tell you this guitar is really right up there in performance. Better than the SG, and a sound almost equal to Es-335 for a fraction of the price. Good beefy blues tones 3- way switch, lots of sustain, good twang, I'm flat out surprised at the performance of this guitar.

Wow, what can I say? For under $600 bucks, you get a beautiful, stunning Gretsch, compare it to any other and I'll dare you to note any difference that explains a jump of $2,000. Mine was ready to tune and go. After gingerly playing it for a while, it stayed in tune, so I tried the Bigsby, and yeah, I had to tune up again after mashing it down a few times, but nothing a new nut and set of tuners couldn't fix. For now, I'll just admire the glossy, flawless orange finish. And I won't tell anyone that asks about it how much it cost. I'll let them think it's worth a couple of grand.

This Guitar is awesome, the warm sound, the look, I mean everything. Just the first sight is incredible, it's looks and sounds like the american Gretsch, it's perfect. The only thing that you need to find with this guitar is the time to paly it. When the guitar arrived I spent 20 minutes watching the flawless orange finish, and the beautiful Chrome hardware. I strongly recommend this guitar for those people who are looking for a Serious Hollow-Body medium-range price guitar.

I have owned this great guitar for 6 months now, and I can say it is well worth the money. I have Gibson's f note semi hollow body shop custom and it plays just as well. Not as beautiful or as expensive, but it is still well worth the small price tag. Only trouble I have had is finding the right size case for it. It holds tunning very good, and plays very easy on the neck. My Gibson's strings are a little closer to the neck but not that much more. Hope these words help you make up your mind. I put alot of value in these reviews when looking for new gear.

styled like a 1957 ( transition) 6120 w "tone pot" wiring circuit and "Filtrics" (generic Filtertron) pickups........... 16"lower bout and 2-1/2"thick body w/ a Bigsby B-70 vibrato........Sound/tone reminiscent to a Filtertron equiped instrument.

I received my Gretsch G5120 recently, and all I can say is WOW! I decided to upgrade from my Squier Strat, and finally decided on this one. The tone of this guitar is unbelievably warm and smooth. Some will tell you to replace the stock pickups with TV-Jones, but they are more than adequate for me. So far it stays in tune pretty well even after using the vibrato. The only negative things I can say about the guitar is that the clear pickguard looks wrong to me, and the guitar comes without a case. I bought a Musician's Gear Deluxe Dreadnought case for it, and it fits like a glove. I may replace the pickguard at some point, but I'm very happy with this guitar and I'm sure you will be also.
