I bought and installed a set of re-issue 10's. Over 36 yrs experience of playing, I've never had a 10 gauge string break while stretching. This one did, I was a little surprised. So instead of having a perfectly balanced set of Gibsons now I have a D'Addario high "E" in place.I noticed that the Gibsons and Fast Fret do not co-exist well. The Fast Fret has a tendency to somewhat mute the Gibsons but not the D'Addario.Aside from all that, they're an ok string.

As an active musician that plays many instruments, primarily electric guitar ATM, and as a sound engineer, Gibson vintage reissue string are flat-out the best strings I have EVER worked with concerning electric guitars.

The strings my Oscar Schmidt OE 30 came with sound better than these or. I'm still looking for that perfect set of strings with clean crisp highs and mellow lows while that blend together and don't sound like I 'm picking in a barrel.

A friend turned me on to these and said I'd be amazed. He was right. I swallowed a little pride and put them on my Fender. Great tone, long life, and I haven't broken one yet.

The Gibson Reissue Strings are the best sounding strings I've ever used and the best playability wise, also. If you are into perfecting your sound, than these are for you.
